How It All Started:

My now 8 year old son has been watching me make mums since he was little.  He would play with the toppers, designing his own works of art.  Last year he was home from school and I needed something to entertain him as I was trying to finish up a large mum.  So I told him he could make a bear.  He quickly starting puling things together from all of the bins.  He asked me to see a picture of the girl who I was making the mum for.  He said she looked fancy.  He continued to work away.  I had no idea what he was designing.  To my amazement he had come up with this precious bear you see above, all on his own.  Earrings...necklace....every last detail was his idea.....and yes he glued it too! 

She was almost in tears when she came to pick up her mum.  She attached the bear to her backpack and wore it around school all day.  

So this is how Sophie's Bear was born!
